How to set up a LAN server

Post by flamingninja124 » August 6th, 2012, 8:26 am

First you need 2 or more computer sharing the same internet connection. Then, you would need to check on both firewalls that java is allowed. After that you need to pick which comp is the host and start their world that they want to have it become the lan server. Next, you would just need to press ESC button and hit the start lan server button ( ithink it is called ). You can switch the gamemodes and add cheats to you lan server. Another way is to do /publish. Either way, you will get your lan started and a random ip will come up. After that you just thpe that ip to all the other comp in the multiplayer list. You should be able to have you lan server up :D
Sorry for the bad grammar.

You won't need to use Hamachi on a LAN. Hamachi is specifically designed to let people outside your house play on your LAN games.
