I grew up in a household with strong european roots (especially scottish and dutch). As a result I grew to love almond. One of the main desserts made was an Almond Puff Pastry. It's known often as a Danish Almond Puff Pastry, but frankly it's made all over Europe.
I don't have the recipe with me right now but I'll see if I can dig it out. In the mean time I'll link a recipe that looks pretty darn close to the one I got from my grandparents.
This is not a healthy snack by any means. Traditional European treats generally aren't. But it is tasty as anything!
