I'd rather have cake.
or cheesecake.
or brownies.
or most anything.
but i'd take pie over cobbler.
then probably throw it at someone.

I've always felt that cheesecake is actually pie. No one has yet provided a convincing argument otherwise. Mostly they go on about crust.

PS - I used to work in a professional bakery.

Easy pie recipe

3 pears, 3 apples (macs are great)
1/2 T cinnamon
1/2 orange or lemon juiced
1 cup sugar (or if you like really sweet pie go for 1 1/2 cups)
1 cup fresh berries of your choice (cranberries are great, but so are raspberries)

put all that in a pie shell and then covered the top in more pastry or do an oats topping

1 1/2 cups oats
3/4 cups coconut
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

mix it all together until crumbly. Crumble on top of your pie.

Bake at 350 for 20 mins or until pastry is golden and the juices are bubbly and thick.
